GAS INSTALLER OF THE YEAR 2005 "HIGHLY COMMENDED" AWARD WINNERS

CORGI, the governing body for UK gas installers, recently awarded Heatwise "Highly Commended" in their Gas Installer of the Year Awards 2005. The award ceremony took place at Telford International Centre where over 1,000 attended from all over the country. The ceremony, hosted by CORGI, saw TV comedian Jimmy Carr present 10 awards to the best gas installers. Many of our customers nominated us to CORGI for these awards along with suppliers, manufacturers and the CORGI inspectors.

Heatwise (Fylde) Ltd is a Fylde-based company serving Preston, Freckleton, Warton, Blackpool, Lytham St Annes and Ansdell. We have 10 employees, two of whom are designated installer operatives dealing with gas appliances and plumbing, three trainee/apprentices, two operatives designated to service and maintenance of gas appliances, one counter sales person for trade and retail, and an office manager.

The business is family run and has an extensive database of customers who use Heatwise regularly. Company owner Adrian Whitehead took over the 22-year established business in 2004, during which time the business served the Fylde and Preston district.

With many stories in the media about "cowboy gas engineers" etc, it is very exciting that a North West family company like Heatwise has had the opportunity of not only being nominated but receiving a "highly commended" award for Gas Installation work in our local area out of 20,000 gas installers nationally in the 2 - 4 operative category.
